Clinical effect of Weifuchun Tablets combined with Esomeprazole Magnesium Enteric-coated Tablets in the treatment of duodenal bulbar ulcer in the spleen and stomach deficiency pattern

Abstract：Objective To investigate the efficacy of Weifuchun Tablets combined with Esomeprazole Magnesium Enteric-coated Tablets in the treatment of duodenal bulbar ulcer in the spleen and stomach deficiency type.Methods A total of 100 patients with duodenal bulbar ulcer identified as spleen and stomach deficiency pattern who were admitted to our hospital from September 2016 to February 2018 were enrolled in the study.They were equally divided into treatment group 1 and treatment group 2 according to the random number table.In the treatment group 1,WeifuchunTablets combined with Esomeprazole Magnesium Enteric-coated Tablets was used,while in the treatment group 2,Esomeprazole Magnesium Enteric-coated Tablets alone was adopted.The efficacy of treatment,the disappearance time of abdominal pain and ulcer,visual simulation score (VAS),daily living ability (ADL)score and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results The total effectiveness rate of the treatment group 1 was 98.00%,which was higher than that of the treatment group 2 accounting for 86.00%with a statistical difference(P＜0.05).The time of abdominal pain and ulcer disappeared in the treatment group 1 was shorter compared with those in the treatment group 2 with statistical significance (P＜0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions was 6.00%in the treatment group and 10.00%in the treatment group.There was no statistically significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P＞0.05).There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups in VAS and ADL score before treatment(P＞0.05).After treatment,the VAS score of treatment group 1 was lower than that of the treatment group 2,and the ADL score was higher than that of the treatment group 2,the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion The application of Weifuchun Tablets combined with Esomeprazole Magnesium Enteric-coated Tablets in the treatment of patients with duodenal bulbar ulcer identified as spleen and stomach deficiency pattern is not only safe and reliable,but also exerts a remarkable curative effect.The disappearance time of patient′s abdominal pain and ulcer is short.It is worthy of application and promotion.
