Abstract：Objective To compare the curative effect of self-retaining laryngoscope and conventional fiber laryngoscope in the resection of vocal cord polyps.MethodsFrom December 2014 to December 2016,98 patients with laryngeal vocal cord polyps were selected and divided into control group and study group according to the order of admission,49 cases in each group.The control group was treated with traditional fiberoptic laryngoscope,while the study group was treated with supportive laryngoscope.The clinical efficacy,postoperative complications and vocal cord dysfunction scores were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of the study group was significantly higher than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).The postoperative complications rate in the study group was significantly lower than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Before operation,there was no significant difference in VHI score between the two groups (P＜0.05).After operation,and the VHI score of the study group was significantly lower than that of the control group,and The difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion The self-retaining laryngoscope has a better effect than conventional fiber laryngoscope,can protect the vocal cord,reduce the incidence rate of complications.
