Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of locking plate fixation combined with medication in the treatment of osteoporotic intertrochanteric fracture. Methods Altogether 80 patients with osteoporotic intertrochanteric fracture who were treated in our hospital from January 2015 to February 2016 were selected and randomly divided into the control group and the observation group, each with 40 cases. The control group was treated with locking plate fixation alone, and the observation group was treated with locking plate fixation combined with anti-osteoporosis drugs. The clinical efficacy of the two groups were compared. Results The start time of postoperative weight-bearing exercise and fracture healing time of the observation group were shorter than those of the control group, with significant difference (P<0.05);The total excellent and good rate of joint function of the observation group at post-operative 12 months was 97.50%,which was higher than that of the control group(82.50%),with significant difference(P<0.05).The bone mineral density of femoral neck and lumbar spine of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, with significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion The effect of combination of locking plate fixation and medication demonstrates in the treatment of osteoporotic intertrochanteric fracture is effective, which can quickly recover and improve bone density,it is worthy of promotion nd application.
