Abstract:ObjectiveTo study the correlation between occurrence of retinopathy of prematurity (ROP)and maternal factors.MethodsA total of 250 premature infants born in our hospital from January 2013 to December 2015 were included in the study.Among them,225 cases were not occurred with ROP,and the rest were ROP.The correlation of ROP and maternal placental abnormalities, intrauterine infection, and pregnancy-related diseases was analyzed.ResultsThe incidence of ROP was high when body weight ranging from 1500 g to less than 2000 g,gestational age being 32 to 38,and single pregnancy.By Spearman correlation analysis,ROP had a positive correlation with birth weight(r=0.134,P<0.05).The incidence of mother for children with ROP with intrauterine infection(χ2=7.341,P<0.05)and placental abnormalities(χ2=4.574,P<0.05)were higher than having no ROP.By Spearman correlation analysis, there was no relationship between ROP and mother′s age(r=0.037,P>0.05).ConclusionThere is a positive correlation between retinopathy in premature infants and birth weight.Mothers occurred with intrauterine infection or placental abnormalities,ROP is more likely to occur.Targeting on these factors causing ROP,the corresponding interventions should be taken.
