Abstract:ObjectiveTo explore the application value of modified restraint strap in patients with restlessness.Methods92 patients with restlessness in our hospital from May 2014 to June 2015 were selected and randomly divided into the observation group and the control group,with 46 cases in each group.Patients in the control group were given traditional restraint strap,while the observation group were given modified restraint strap.The incidence of extubation,unexpected skin damage and swelling of infusion area of two groups were compared.ResultsThe incidence of extubation,unexpected skin damage and swelling of infusion area of the observation group(0.00%,4.35%,6.52%)were lower than those of the control group(15.22%,19.57%,23.91%),and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).ConclusionModified restraint strap is a safe,effective,economic and comfortable restraint method.It can effectively prevent extubation,unexpected skin damage,swelling of infusion area in patients with restlessness,increase patients′comfort,which is worthy of promotion and application.
