Abstract:Objective To study the clinical significance of body mass index(BMI)in gestational diabetes mellitus(DM). Methods 62 cases of gestational diabetes patients in our hospital from July 2015 to July 2016 for regular antenatal examination and hospital delivery were randomly selected, according to the BMI index of different pregnancy all the patients were divided into low body weight group(10 cases)and normal group(24 cases),overweight group(15 cases)and obesity group(13 cases). In addition, according to the BMI index increase of all patients before pregnancy to pregnancy, the patients were divided into group A(n=19),group B(n=22)and group C(n=11).The incidence of pregnancy complications and the incidence of adverse pregnancy outcomes were observed and analyzed, and the clinical significance of gestational diabetes mellitus during pregnancy was also discussed. Results Pregnancy complications in patients with normal weight group was 12.50%,the incidence of adverse pregnancy outcomes was 4.17%,significantly lower than the low body weight 50.00%,30.00%and 40.00%,33.34%overweight and obesity were 61.54%and 53.85%.The complication rate of group B was 16.00%,and the incidence of adverse pregnancy outcomes was 4.00%,which was significantly lower than that of group A(45.46%,36.36%),and group C(53.33%,46.67%),the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusion BMI and gestational diabetes mellitus patients BMI greater growth rate, pregnancy complications, the incidence of adverse pregnancy outcome probability is higher, therefore, told gestational diabetes during pregnancy BMI control has important clinical significance.
