Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of Misoprostol combined with oxytocin on the induction of labor in late pregnancy and adverse reactions. Methods A total of 216 pregnant women who were hospitalized in Shijie Hospital of Dongguan City from March 2014 to March 2016 were selected as research subjects, and they were randomly divided into observation group and control group, with 108 cases in each group. The observation group was given vaginal administration of Misoprostol combined with oxytocin intravenous infusion for induction of labor, and the control group was given intravenous drip of oxytocin alone. The successful rate of induction of labor, total effective rate of induction of labor, time of induction of labor, cesarean section rate, postpartum hemorrhage rate, fetal distress rate and neonatal asphyxia rate were observed and compared between the two groups. Results The successful rate of induction was 93.5%and 81.5%in the observation group and the control group respectively, the total effective rate was 98.1%and 85.2%respectively,and the successful rate and the total effective rate in the observation group was higher than those in the control group respectively, the difference was statistically significant(P=0.014,0.002);the time of induction of labor in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group[(12.1±1.9)h vs.(19.0±2.0)h],and the difference was statistically significant(P=0.000);the rate of cesarean section in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (25.9%vs.39.8%),and the difference was statistially significant(P=0.027).There were no statistically significant differences in terms of postpartum hemorrhage(5.5%vs.6.5%,P=0.762),fetal distress(8.3%vs.10.2%,P=0.623),and neonatal asphyxia(4.6%vs.3.7%,P=0.744)between the two groups. Conclusion Low dose of Misoprostol combined with oxytocin can increase the successful rate of induction of labor, shorten induction time, increase the rate of vaginal delivery and do not increase the adverse outcome of mother and child.
