Abstract：Objective To explore the application effect of quality control circle（QCC）activity in improving the wearing rate of wrist-band in elderly hospitalized patients. Methods Elderly hospitalized patients in our hospital from August 2015 to March 2016 were selected as the research subjects，216 hospitalized patients from August 25 to October 31 in 2015 were selected as the control group（before carrying out the QCC activity），356 hospitalized patients from December 1 in 2015 to March 31 in 2016 were selected as the observation group （after carrying out the QCC activity）.The wear condition and the medical errors and accidents caused by improper identification in the two groups was compared.Results The incidence rate of non-wearing wrist-band and inconsistent information of wrist-band in the observation group was lower than that in the control group（2.00%vs 12.04%，0 vs 3.24%），with significant difference（P＜0.05）.There was no significant difference in the incidence rate of not clear identification wrist-band and wrist-band shedding between the two groups（P＞0.05）（0.84%vs 3.32%，2.25%vs 2.30%）.The incidence rate ofmedical errors and accidents caused by improper identification of the observation group was lower than that of the control group （16.67%vs 64.29%），with significant difference （P＜0.05）.Conclusion Carrying out QCC activity is an effective way to improve the wearing rate of the wrist-band in elderly hospitalized patients，which can reduce the incidence of errors.
