The clinical effects of Levodopa combined with comprehensive therapy in treatment of youth with ametropia amblyopia and the effects on patients′visual function and P-VEP level

Abstract：Objective To explore the effects of Levodopa combined with comprehensive therapy in treatment of youth with ametropia amblyopia and the effects on patients′visual function and P-VEP level. Methods 84 cases youth which were diagnosed as ametropia amblyopia in Department of Ophthalmology of our hospital from August 2012 to March 2015 were selected and randomly divided into two groups.41 patients in control group were treated with combined therapy，while 43 patients in treatment group were treated with Levodopa combined comprehensive therapy，6 months as a course of treatment.After 6months，the visual acuity，P-VEP，visual function before treatment and after treatment，clinical effects and adverse reactions between two groupswere compared.Results After treatment，the patients′P-VEP P100 amplitude and the contrast in different spatial frequency increased，while P-VEP P100 wave latency shortened，the improvement of the treatment group wasmore significant（P＜0.05）.After treatment，corrected amplitude range，corrected separate range in the treatment group were both larger than those in the control group，while corrected near stereoacuity was less，there were significant differences between two groups （P＜0.05）.The total efficiency in the treatment group was 93.15%，79.17%in the control group，the difference was statistically significant（χ2=5.961，P＜0.05）.No Adverse reactionswere founded in the control groups，with 1 case eye dry in the treatment，incidence of adverse reactions had no statistical difference between two groups（P＞0.05）.Conclusion There is significant effect of Levodopa combined with comprehensive therapy on ametropia amblyopia of the youth.Themethod can improvesmore visual function and isworth popularizing.
