Abstract:Objective To investigate the value of ultrasound elastography in the diagnosis of benign and malignant superficial soft tissue masses. Methods A total of 75 patients who with diagnosed with superficial soft tissue benign and malignant masses in Anshan Tumor Hospital of Liaoning Province from January 2018 to December 2019 were selected as the study objects.Two-dimensional ultrasound examination and ultrasound elastography examination were used, and pathological surgery results were taken as the gold standard. The diagnostic accuracy, sensitivity and specificity of the two techniques were compared. Results The pathological surgery results showed that there were 60 benign masses and 27 malignant masses in 75 patients(87 masses). The diagnostic accuracy of two-dimensional ultrasound examination was 64.37%,the sensitivity was 44.44%,the specificity was 73.33%.The diagnostic accuracy of ultrasound elastography examination was 86.21%,the sensitivity was 74.07%,the specificity was 91.67%.The diagnostic accuracy, sensitivity and specificity of ultrasound elastography examination were higher than those of two-dimensional ultrasound examination, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Ultrasound elastography technology has a positive role in the diagnosis of benign and malignant superficial soft tissue masses, with high specificity and sensitivity, which can effectively distinguish benign and malignant masses and improve the diagnostic accuracy.
