Objective To explore the influence of systematic health education and postpartum breast massage on breast feeding.Methods A total of 120 cases of full-term natural delivery and single birth primiparas accompanied by their husbands in Dalian Women and Children′s Medical Center from February to May in 2020 were selected as the research objects,and they were divided into the control group and the observation group according to random number table method,with 60 cases in each group.The observation group was given systematic health education,the maternal and husband were given systematic health education on breast feeding related knowledge and skills,and breast massage was given after delivery.The control group was only given routine breast-feeding guidance.The scores of breastfeeding related knowledge,skills,breast milk volume and breast swelling of the two groups were compared.Results The score of breastfeeding related knowledge in the observation group after intervention was higher than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The breastfeeding skills of the observation group was better than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the amount of breast milk at 3 days after delivery between the two groups(P>0.05).The ratio of breast milk adequate in the observation group at 30 days after delivery was more than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The breast swelling rate of primipara in the observation group was 5.00%(2/60),which was lower than 16.67%(10/60)of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Providing systematic health education and early breast massage for pregnant women and their families,promoting husband′s participation and support can improve maternal confidence in breastfeeding,promote maternal milk secretion and reduce breast swelling.
