Abstract:Objective To study the nutrition status of serum vitamin A and E in pregnant women in a hospital of Dalian for the purpose of scientific basis for preventing vitamin A and E deficiency.Methods The basic information and blood samples of 3648 pregnant women who tested in Dalian Maternal and Child Health Care Hospital from January to December 2018 were retrospective and analyzed.The levels of serum vitamin A and E was tested by chemiluminescence method,and the differences of the levels of serum vitamin A and E were compared.Results The average level of serum vitamin A in 3648 pregnant women was(0.28±0.08)mg/L,and the deficiency rate was 7.2%.The average level of serum vitamin E in 3517 pregnant women was(12.28±2.95)mg/L,all of them were at adequate levels.Divided the pregnant women into three groups according to their age,the levels of vitamin A was compared in the three groups,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);and the deficiency rate of vitamin A was compared in the three groups,with no statistical significance difference(P>0.05).The level and deficiency rate of vitamin A was compared in different seasons,the differences were statistical significance(P<0.05),the highest deficiency rate of vitamin A was in spring(9.1%),followed by summer(8.2%).Divided the pregnant women into three groups according to their age,the levels of vitamin E was compared in the three groups,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);the level of vitamin A was compared in different seasons,the difference was statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion The deficiency of vitamin A and the overdose of vitamin E in pregnant women aged older than 35 years should be taken more attention,and the clinical health care and health education strategy should be adjusted in time for the high vitamin A deficiency rate of pregnant women in spring and summer in clinical work.
