Abstract:Objective To explore the correlation and clinical significance of serum vitamin A and E levels in pregnant women with the severity of preeclampsia. Methods A total of 113 pregnant women who came to the Department of Obstetrics in People′s Hospital of Maoming City for treatment with preeclampsia from March 2018 to January 2020 were selected as the research subjects, and they were divided into mild preeclampsia group (69 cases) and severe preeclampsia group (44 cases) according to their severity.A total of 113 healthy people who came to People′s Hospital of Maoming City during the same period were selected as the control group. The serum levels of vitamin A and vitamin E in the three groups were compared, and the correlation with severity of preeclampsia was analyzed. Results The vitamin A and E of the severe preeclampsia group were lower than those of the mild preeclampsia group and the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The vitamin A and E of the mild preeclampsia group were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Vitamin A and E were negatively correlated with sevrity of preeclampsia (P<0.05).Conclusion Serum vitamin A and E levels of pregnant women are significantly correlated with the severity of preeclampsia.Reasonable supplementation of vitamin A and E can effectively prevent or reduce the occurrence of preeclampsia and ensure the health of mothers and babies
