Abstract:Objective To explore the application of chest radiograph coordinate axis positioning method in peripherally inserted central catheter(PICC).Methods A total of 60 patients who received PICC catheterization in the Pingxiang Second People′s Hospital from December 2019 to December 2020 were selected. They were divided into the control group(30 patients)and the observation group(30 patients)using random number table method. The control group were given chest radiograph thoracic spine positioning method, and the observation group were given the chest radiograph coordinate axis positioning method to place the catheter. The accuracy of catheter tip, incidence of complications, and catheterization satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The accuracy rate of catheter tip in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The total incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The degree of catheterization satisfaction in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion Chest radiograph coordinate axis positioning can increase the accuracy of catheter tip, reduce the incidence of complications, and improve satisfaction in patients with PICC catheterization. It is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
