Objective To explore the effectiveness of corneal limbal tissue transplantation in the treatment of corneal limbal defect. Methods A total of 112 patients with corneal limbal defect who were admitted to Fushun Ophthalmopathy Hospital from May 2018 to May 2019 were selected as the research subjects. All patients had a single affected eye and were divided into study group (n=56) and control group (n=56) according to the random number table method. The superficial cornea was partially excised in the control group, while the corneal limbal tissue graft was applied in the study group. The inflammatory response, clinical cure rate, recurrence rate, satisfaction degree and quality of life of the two groups were compared. Results The incidence of inflammatory reaction in the study group was lower than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The cure rate of patients in the study group was higher than that in the control group, and the recurrence rate after treatment was lower than that in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The treatment satisfaction and quality of life score of patients in the study group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion The application of corneal limbal tissue transplantation in the clinical treatment of ocular surface diseases can effectively improve the clinical treatment effect of patients, reduce the recurrence rate of patients, effectively improve the vision of patients, improve the quality of life of patients, and the satisfaction of patients with treatment is high, clinical effect is ideal, so it should be further promoted and applied clinically.
