Abstract:Objective To explore the relationship among work-family conflict, depression and job burnout in autism practitioners. Methods From July to October in 2019,194 autism practitioners in Shenzhen,Huizhou,Heyuan and other areas of Guangdong Province were investigated by convenience sampling method. The self-rating depression scale, job burnout scale and work-family conflict scale were used during survey.Correlation analysis, linear regression analysis and mediation analysis were used to determine the mediating role of depression in work-family conflict and job burnout in practitioners with autism. Results In the correlation analysis,work-family conflict was positively correlated with emotional exhaustion and cynicism in job burnout (r=0.530,0.533,P<0.01).Depression was positively correlated with emotional exhaustion and cynicism in job burnout (r=0.484,0.368,P<0.01).In linear regression analysis, workfamily conflict and depression positively predicted the emotional exhaustion of job burnout (P<0.001).Work-family conflict and depression positively predicted the cynicism of job burnout (P<0.001,P=0.002),depression positively predicted the low sense of accomplishment of job burnout (P=0.001).In mediation analysis of the relationship between work-family conflict and (burnout) emotional exhaustion, depression played a mediating role.In the relationship between work-family conflict and (job burnout) cynicism, depression also played a mediating role. Conclusion The depression of autism practitioners is correlated with work-family conflict and job burnout.Management departments can improve the depression of autism practitioners to reduce family-work conflicts and job burnout, and fundamentally enhance the rehabilitation effect in autistic patients.
