Application of PBL teaching based on "rain classroom" in the course of Adult Nursing of nursing undergraduate

Abstract:Objective To investigate the application effect of "rain classroom" combined with PBL teaching in the course of Adult Nursing of nursing undergraduate.Methods From February to June in 2018, 211 full-time nursing undergraduates from two classes of 2016 grade in Guilin Medical University were enrolled as subjects.According to the random sampling method, 107 students in one class were selected as the experimental group, and 104 students in the other class were classified into the control group.In the experimental group, "rain classroom" combined with the PBL teaching was adopted, while in the control group, the PBL teaching alone was used.The final evaluation scores of Adult Nursing were compared between the two groups and the students′ evaluation of teaching in the experimental group was investigated.Results The theoretical results of the final exam showed that the theoretical results of the first and second tests in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Most of the participants believed that the "rain classroom" was beneficial to the mastery of knowledge(97.19%), the development of thinking ability (98.13%), the improvement of ability to solve problems (95.33%), the promotion of cooperation and communication between classmates (95.32%), and the improvement of learning enthusiasm(96.26%).Conclusion The PBL teaching based on "rain classroom" can effectively improve the learning enthusiasm and academic record of nursing undergraduates and improve the effect and quality of teaching.
