Abstract:Objective To compare the effect of aripiprazole and risperidone in the treatment of schizophrenia. Methods A total of 120 patients with schizophrenia treated in our hospital from February 2016 to February 2017 were selected as the subjects.According to the random number table method, they were divided into group A and group B,with 60 cases in each group. In group A,patients were treated with aripiprazole, and in group B,patients were provided with risperidone. The clinical therapeutic effect of the two groups was compared. Results There were no statistical difference in the total effectiveness rate between the two groups (P>0.05).There were no statistical difference in the positive symptoms, negative symptoms, general psychopathology or total scores before treatment between the two groups (P>0.05).After treatment, scores of each index were lower compared with those before treatment(P<0.05).And there were no statistical difference in the positive symptoms, negative symptoms, general psychopathology or total scores after treatment between the two groups(P>0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions in group A was 8.33%,which was lower than that of group B accounting for 18.33%,with a statistical difference (P<0.05).Conclusion Aripiprazole and risperidone both have certain value in the treatment of patients with schizophrenia. They can greatly alleviate the related symptoms and promote the stable condition. However, aripiprazole is safer which can effectively reduce the occurrence of adverse reactions, thus providing a guarantee for prognosis.
