Abstract:ObjectiveTo investigate the clinical effect of improved Mammotome minimally invasive surgery on the treatment of breast lumps.Methods474 patients who were treated in our department from September 2012 to July 2014 were selected as the study subjects and randomly divided into two groups,237 cases in each group. The conventional group was treated with traditional Mammotome surgery. The improved Mammotome minimally invasive group was treated with preoperative vascular ultrasound on the basis of conventional surgery. The incidence of complications(postoperative hematoma and bruises, skin damage and pigmentation anddimple replica time>1 month),the time of postoperative mean bandage removed and the satisfaction of the therapeutic effect were compared between the two groups.ResultsPostoperatively,in the improved Mammotome minimally invasive group, the rate of patients with hematoma and skin bruises(0.42%),skin damage and pigmentation(1.27%),dimple replica time>1 month incidence(0.84%)were significantly lower than those in the conventional group(8.02%,9.28%,5.49%),and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The time of postoperative mean bandage removal of patients in the improved Mammotome minimally invasive group was[(1.91±0.80)d],which was significantly shorter than that of the conventional group [(7.93±5.40)d],and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The satisfaction of patients in the improved Mammotome minimally invasive group was 77.64%,which was significantly higher than that of the conventional group(61.60%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).ConclusionThe use of improved Mammotome minimally invasive surgery in the treatment of breast lumps compared with traditional Mammotome surgery can significantly reduce the incidence of postoperative complications in patients with reduced postoperative removal of the bandage and improve patient satisfaction, therefore,it is worthy of clinical application.
