Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of laparoscope treating acute senility appendicitis and its influence of postoperative inflammatory cytokine and sleep quality in patients. Methods The clinical data of 90 patients with acute senility appendicitis treated in our hospital from March 2015 to August 2016 was retrospectively analyzed. All patients were divided into the laparoscopic group(n=50)and laparotomy group(n=40)according to surgical procedure. The general operation condition was observed in patients of the two groups, and the postoperative recovery, preoperative and postoperative inflammatory cytokines, incidence of complications and sleep quality were compared inpatients between the two groups. Results The operation time of the laparoscopy group was longer than that in the laparotomy group, the amount of bleeding during the operation was fewer than that in the laparotomy group, and the length of the incision was shorter than that in the laparotomy group(P<0.001).In the laparoscopy group, the exhaust, the ambulation and the postoperative hospital stay were shorter than those in the laparotomy group(P<0.001).There was no significant difference in inflammatory cytokine level between the two groups before operation(P>0.05),and the level of CRP and WBC in the laparoscopic group was lower than that in laparotomy group at after 1 d operation (P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the sleep quality score between the two groups before operation(P>0.05),and the sleep quality score of the laparoscopic group was better than that of the laparotomy group after 3 d operation (P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of postoperative complications between the two groups (χ2=0.621,P=0.431).Conclusion Laparoscopic appendectomy for acute senility appendicitis has good therapeutic effect and less trauma, which plays a positive significance in promoting the postoperative rehabilitation of patients.
