Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical effect and safety of thyroid adenoma removal in lower-sited and minor incision in the treatment of thyrophyma. Methods 81 patients with thyrophyma in our hospital from April 2012 to April 2015 were selected and randomly divided into the control group(n=40)and the observation group(n=41).The control group was treated with conventional thyroid surgery, the observation group was treated with resection in lower-sited and minor incision. The operation time, intraoperative amount of bleeding, hospital stay, length of incision, and the incidence rate of postoperative complication in the two groups was compared. Results The operation time, hospital stay and length of incision in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group, the intraoperative amount of bleeding in the observation group was less than that in the control group, with significant difference(P<0.05).The incidence rate of complication in the observation group was 7.3%,which was lower than 25.0%in the control group, with significant difference(P<0.05). Conclusion The effect of resection in lower-sited and minor incision in the treatment of thyrophyma is better, trauma is less, postoperative recovery is fast and safety is high,it is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
