Abstract:Objective To investigate the c1inica1 efficacy of arthroscopic debridement combined with denervation and artificia1 tota1 knee rep1acement in the treatment of severe knee osteoarthritis.Methods Seventy patients with severe knee osteoarthritis admitted to our hospita1 from January 2010 to October 2014 were se1ected and divided into the study group and the contro1 group according to the treatment regimen,with each group 45 cases.The study group was given arthroscopic debridement combined with denervation and the contro1 group was given artificia1 tota1 knee rep1acement. The preoperative and postoperative visua1 ana1ogue sca1e scores(VAS)and Lysho1m knee joint function index scores of the two groups were observed.A11 the patients received postoperative c1inica1 fo11ow-up and the exce11ent and good rates 1 year after surgery were eva1uated and compared.Results①The preoperative VAS was not significant1y different in the two groups(P>0.05).The VAS scores 3 months,6 months and 12 months after the operation was(1.71±0.77),(1.51± 0.61)and(2.08±0.69)scores respective1y and that of the contro1 group was(2.78±0.79),(2.65±0.82)and(3.01±0.92)scores respective1y,with significant differences(a11 P<0.05).②The preoperative Lysho1m knee joint function index score of patients were not significant1y different in the two groups(P>0.05).The Lysho1m knee joint function index scores 3 months,6 months and 12 months after the operation was(83.61±3.59),(88.89±4.31)and(87.68±3.54)scores respective1y and that of the contro1 group was(76.06±2.87),(83.38±4.26)and(78.35±11.18)scores respective1y,with significant differences (P<0.05).③The operation exce11ent and good rate 1 year after surgery was 85.71%in the study group and 62.86%in the contro1 group,with significant difference (P<0.05).Conclusion Arthroscopic debridement combined with denervation shows good c1inica1 effects in the treatment of severe knee osteoarthritis as it can significant1y re1ieve the patient's pain and improve knee joint function.
