Clinical observation of small knife treatment of nonunion

Abstract：Objective To investigate effect of the needle knife in the treatment of nonunion.Methods 60 cases with tibia,humerus nonunion from April 2012 to July 2015 in our hospital for treatment therapy were retrospectively analyzed using the method of drawing lots patients were divided into observation group and control group,each group had 30 cases,the observation group were treated with a small knife treatment,after the use of external fixation,the control group were treated with conventional therapy,clinical and radiological effects were compared after treatment healing time happening.Results In the observation group,26 cases were cured,3 cases were improved,1 case was ineffective,the total effective rate was 96.67%,which was higher than that of control group(66.67%),the differences had significant(P<0.05). In the observation group,the number of patients withhealing time less than 3 months was 25 cases,7 cases more than the control group,the differences had significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Using small needle knife for the treatment of bone nonunion,can effectively shorter nonunion healing time,and has the advantages of high safety,remark able clinical effect,which is worth using widely.
