Abstract:ObjectiveTo investigate the application effect of cortical electrode EEG monitoring in glioma induced by epilepsy operation.Methods60 patients with glioma induced by epilepsy treated by our hospital from February 2013 to February 2016 were selected and they were divided into the observation group(n=30)and control group(n=30).In the observation group,CT applied to determine the location of lesions while using cortical electrode EEG monitoring to resect tumor, while in the control group CT applied simply to determine the location of lesions to resect tumor, and all patients were followed up for investigation of epilepsy attack to record in detail the change of disease in the two groups, and the result was analyzed statistically.ResultsThe total resection, near total resection and most resection of the tumor in the observation group was 60.00%,30.00%,10.00%respectively,and it was 20.00%,26.67%,53.33%respectively in the control group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).Within 1 years after treatment, Engel classification in the observation group∶7 cases for gradeⅠ,14 cases for gradeⅡ,8 cases for gradeⅢ,1 case for grad Ⅳ,and it was 2,6,2,20 cases in the control group were, and the difference of Engel grade was statistically significant between two group (P<0.05).ConclusionCortical electrode EEG monitoring has a very high application value for significantly determine the epileptogenic lesion, accurate resection of lesion during surgery, improving the effect of surgical treatment and improving the prognosis, reducing the symptoms of patients, and reducing the postoperative recurrence rate.
