Abstract:ObjectiveTo establish the method for the quality control of Gengnian Ning.MethodsMoutan Cortex,Paeoniae Radix Alba,Salvia Miltiorrhiza of Gengnian Ning were identified by thin layer chromatography (TLC).The content of baicalin (characteristic component of Gengnian Ning)was determined by high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC).The ZORBAX Eclipse XDB-C18column (4.6 mm×250 mm,5 μm) was used,the mobile phase was methanolwater-phosphoric acid (47∶53∶0.2)and the detection wavelength was 280 nm.ResultsMoutan Cortex,Paeoniae Radix Alba,Salvia Miltiorrhiza could be detectable by TLC and the spots were clear for observation.In the range of 92.4-924 ng,baicalin showed a good linear relationship between sample size and its peak area (r=0.9998).The average recovery was 99.79%with RSD=1.33% (n=6).The method had good precision,stability and repeatability.ConclusionThe established method is simple,accurate,reliable,reproducible and with strong specificity,which can be used for the quality control of Gengnian Ning.
