Abstract:Objective To evaluate the effect of video coaching (VC) system on laparoscopic operation combined with double scoring system. Methods From January 2017 to January 2020, 24 prescription-trained physicians in the People′s Hospital of Nanhai District, Foshan City were selected as the research subjects, and were divided into experimental group (12 cases) and control group (12 cases) by random number table method. Video teaching system was used in the experimental group and traditional teaching was used in the control group. The two groups were trained in laparoscopic surgery for one year. The scores of global operation assessment of laparoscopic skills (GOALS) and objective structured assessment of technical skills (OSATS) were compared between the two groups before and after the training. Results There were no statistically significant difference in the GOALS scores and OSATS scores between the two groups before training (P>0.05). The GOALS and OSATS scores of the two groups after training were higher than those before training, and the GOALS and OSATS scores of the experimental group after training were higher than those of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Video coaching combined with double scoring system can make standardized training easier for residents to learn and master laparoscopic surgery operation, improve their technology and skills, and be more objective, convenient and effective compared with traditional teaching.
