Abstract:Chronic non-atrophic gastritis (CNG) is a common and frequently-occurring diseases, which seriously affects the quality of life of patients. What′s more, long-term recurrent relapse may develop into chronic atrophic gastritis, even transform into gastric cancer. Therefore, the prevention and therapy of CNG is particularly important. At present, the pathogenesis of CNG is not clear, and the symptoms are not specific. The main treatment is relieving the symptoms and improving the quality of life.Proton pump inhibitors and gastric mucosal protective agents are used most frequently in Western medicine, but the problems of some patients have not been solved due to the adverse reactions of long-term use and the compliance with long-term treatment.Traditional Chinese medicine mainly takes decoction, supplemented with external application such as acupoint application, which has good safety and efficacy. The combination of traditional Chinese and Western medicine has better efficacy used to treat CNG in clinic than Western medicine. This review describes the possible pathogenesis and clinical treatment of CNG, aimed at providing reference value for patients, doctors, nurses and researchers.
