Abstract:Objective To analyze application effect of touch nursing in the nursing of neonatal jaundice. Methods Altogether 104 newborns with jaundice in Jiangmen Maternity and Child Health Hospital from December 2018 to December 2020 were selected as research objects and divided into the experiment group (52 cases) and the reference group (52 cases) by the random number table method. The reference group was treated with traditional nursing; while, the experiment group was treated with touch nursing on the basis of traditional nursing. The nursing effect direct bilirubin, total bilirubin, jaundice index, defecation frequency, jaundice regression time, the time of change of meconium into yellow, first defecation time were compared between two groups. Results The total effective rate of nursing effect in the experiment group (94.23%) was higher than that in the reference group (73.08%), with statistical difference (P<0.05).After 7 days nursing, the direct bilirubin, total bilirubin and jaundice index of the experiment group were lower than those of the reference group, with statistical differences (P<0.05). The defecation frequency of the experiment group at 1, 4 and 7 d was higher than that of the reference group, with statistical difference (P<0.05). The jaundice regression time, the time of change of meconium into yellow and the first defecation time of the experiment group were shorter than those of the reference group, with statistical differences (P<0.05). Conclusion Touch nursing can effectively reduce the bilirubin level and jaundice index of jaundiced newborns, increase the frequency of defecation and promote the regression of jaundice.
