Abstract:Objective By investigating the prognostic value of serum carbohydrate antigen 125(CA125)level change in patients with epithelial ovarian carcinoma, find the simple and reliable prognostic indicators. Methods Collected and retrospectively analyzed the clinical dates of 66 patients with epithelial ovarian carcinoma who were treated in the the Third People′s Hospital of Dalian from January 2017 to December 2019.Researched the relationships between preoperative serum CA125 level and recurrence, the rate of descent after one cycle of postoperative chemotherapy and recurrence, whether the serum CA125 level was normal after two cycles of postoperative chemotherapy and recurrence, the half-life (t1/2)of CA125 and recurrence. Results According to the level of preoperative serum CA125,patients were divided into CA125≤500 U/ml group,CA125>500-1000 U/ml group and CA125>1000 U/ml group. There was no significant difference in recurrence rate among the three groups(P>0.05).According to the rate of descent after one cycle of postoperative chemotherapy, patients were divided into CA125 reduction rate≤70% group,CA125 reduction rate 70%-90% group and CA125 reduction rate>90% group. The recurrence rate of the group with CA125 reduction rate≤70% group was higher than the group with CA125 reduction rate 70%-90% group and CA125 reduction rate>90% group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).According to whether serum CA125 decreased to 35 U/ml after the second course of chemotherapy, the patients were divided into CA125≤35 U/ml group and CA125>35 U/ml group. The results showed that the recurrence rate of CA125>35 U/ml group was higher than that of CA125≤35 U/ml group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).According to the t1/2of CA125,patients were divided into t1/2≤20 d group and t1/2>20 d group. The results showed that the recurrence rate of t1/2>20 d group was higher than that of t1/2≤20 d group, and the median time of recurrence was shorter than that of t1/2≤20 d group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The rate of descent after one cycle of postoperative chemotherapy, whether the serum CA125 level was normal after two cycles of postoperative chemotherapy (35 U/ml as CA125 diagnostic threshold)and the t1/2of CA125 had relationship with prognosis. And they might become the reliable prognostic and recurrent indicators.
