Abstract:Objective To investigate the correlation between plasma D-Dimer (D-D) expression and severity of disease in children with mycoplasma pneumonia(MPP) to provide reference for clinical prevention of disease aggravation in MPP children. Methods 90 children with MPP admitted to Xinyu People's Hospital from May 2019 to October 2020 were selected. According to the disease severity, they were divided into severe group and mild group with 45 cases in each group. 45 healthy infants and young children who had the physical examination in Xinyu People's Hospital at the same period were selected as the healthy group. The plasma D-D levels were compared in the three groups, the correlations between plasma D-D expression and disease severity were analyzed in the three groups. Results The plasma D-D level in the severe group was higher than the mild disease group and healthy group, the plasma D-D level in mild group was higher than that in the healthy group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Bivariate Pearson linear correlation test showed that pediatric critical illness score (PCIS) was negatively correlated with plasma D-D level. The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was drawn and it showed that the area under the curve of plasma D-D in the diagnosis of disease aggravation of MPP was >0.7, the diagnostic value was high, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Plasma D-D level might be closely related to the severity of disease in children with MPP, MPP children with high expression of plasma D-D should be paid attention to.
