Abstract:Objective To investigate rumination and social support in college students, and analyze the correlation.Methods From March to May in 2019, a total of 410 students were selected from universities as the research objects according to the drawing lots.The general information, rumination response and perceived social support scale were used for investigation.Results Total score of rumination was (47.67±12.14) points, the lowest and highest were introspection and symptom rumination, respectively.Social support was (63.69±11.98) points and showed negative correlation with rumination (P<0.05), which was most closely related to symptom rumination (P<0.05), family support was the lowest.Boys and students with score under 60 had the lowest social support (P<0.05).Conclusion Improving social support of college students, especially boys and poor academic performance, is helpful to promote active rumination and improve mental health.
