Investigation and analysis of epidemiology and rehabilitation status of children with cerebral palsy

Abstract：Objective To understand the quality of life of children with cerebral palsy and their families in Ngawa,and to provide a basis for the improvement and improvement of rehabilitation programs and family support services for children with cerebral palsy in later stage.Methods Children aged 2 to 12 from the rehabilitation Center of Tibetan Qiang Autonomous Prefecture of Ngawa in Sichuan province were selected from July to August 2020 to investigate the status of rehabilitation by questionnaire.The investigation content includes the pathogenesis,dysfunction and rehabilitation treatment of children with cerebral palsy.Results A total of 27 children with cerebral palsy were included.In terms of illness,severely restricted mobility accounted for 51.9%;assistive devices used in children with cerebral palsy accounted for 55.6%,and the ability to stand independently accounted for 55.6%.Patients with swallowing dysfunction accounted for 37.0%,children who had undergone surgery accounted for 5.4%.In terms of the rehabilitation status of children,20 cases received centralized rehabilitation treatment,accounting for 74.1%,1 case was community rehabilitation treatment,accounting for 3.7%.There are 20 cases of special financial assistance granted by the government,accounting for 74.1%,15 cases of receiving medical insurance or new rural cooperative medical insurance or part of reimbursement,accounting for 55.6%.Conclusion Affected by regional medical conditions,the rehabilitation awareness of children with cerebral palsy in this region and the utilization rate of rehabilitation AIDS need to be improved.
