Objective To investigate the expression of NF-κB p65 protein in skin squamous cell carcinoma. Methods The pathological sections of 50 patients with skin squamous cell carcinoma treated in the Affiliated Hospital of Guizhou Medical University and the First Affiliated Hospital of Gannan Medical University from January 2018 to December 2019 were selected as cancer tissue group, and 50 cases of paracancerous tissue was selected as control group. The expression of NF-κB p65 protein was compared between the two groups. The relationship between the expression of NFκB p65 protein in skin squamous cell carcinoma and the patient′s gender, age, clinical stage and degree of differentiation was analyzed. Results The positive rate of NF-κB p65 protein expression in the cancer tissue group was higher than that in the paracancerous tissue group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the expression of NF-κB p65 protein in skin squamous cell carcinoma under different genders and ages(P>0.05).The positive rate of NF-κB p65 protein expression in patients with stage Ⅲ-Ⅳwas higher than that of patients with stage Ⅰ-Ⅱ,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The positive rate of NFκB p65 protein expression in poorly differentiated patients was higher than that in highly differentiated patients, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The expression of NF-κB p65 protein in skin squamous cell carcinoma is higher than that in paracancerous tissue, and the higher the stage of skin squamous cell carcinoma is,the higher the expression of NF-κB p65 protein is,and the lower the degree of differentiation of skin squamous cell carcinoma is,the higher the expression of NF-κB p65 protein is.However, there is no significant relationship between the expression of NF-κB p65 protein and the age and gender of the patients.
