Clinical effect of Pantoprazole combined with Amoxicillin in treatment of dyspepsia caused by Helicobacter pylori infection

Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical effect of Pantoprazole combined with Amoxicillin in treatment of dyspepsia caused by Helicobacter pylori infection.Methods A total of 136 patients with dyspepsis caused by Helicobacter pylori infection who were sent to the Third Stationed Outpatient Department of the 988th in Hospital of the People′s Liberation Army Joint Logistics Support Force from August 2019 to August 2020 were selected as the research subjects.They were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method,with 68 cases in each group.Control group was treated with single drug Pantoprazole,and observation group was treated with Pantoprazole combined with Amoxicillin.The total effective rate,scores of symptoms(epigastric pain,abdominal distention,belching,acid regurgitating)after treatment and the total incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was higher than that in the control group,with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The scores of various symptoms(upper abdominal pain,abdominal distension,belching,and acid return)in the observation group after treatment were lower than those in the control group,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse events in the observation group was lower than that in the control group,with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion Amoxicillin has a strong bactericidal effect,Amoxicillin combined with Pantoprazole has a better therapeutic effect and improves the quality of life of patients in the treatment of dyspepsia caused by Helicobacter pylori infection.The incidence of adverse events is also low.It is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
