Statistical analysis of the incidence of malignant tumors in Chenzhou City from 2015 to 2018

Abstract:Objective To analyze the occurrence of malignant tumors in Chenzhou City from 2015 to 2018, and to provide basis for the scientific prevention and treatment of malignant tumors in this region. Methods The diagnostic data of inpatients in secondary and tertiary hospitals in Chenzhou City were collected from 2015 to 2018, and according to the ICD-10 international statistical classification of diseases and related health problems, the incidence of malignant tumors (C00-C97) in different age groups and different genders were statistically analyzed. Results From 2015 to 2018,the number of malignant tumors reported in Chenzhou City was 63 048, with 13 930, 15 087, 16 837 and 17 194 cases respectively, increasing year by year for four years. The top five malignant tumors reported were bronchial and lung malignant tumors, hepatic and intrahepatic bile duct malignant tumors, gastric malignant tumors, breast malignant tumors,and rectal malignant tumors. Among the 6 age groups, the patients with high incidence were 40~<65 years and ≥65 years, with 35 774 cases and 23 463 cases reported respectively. The number of cases reported by malignant tumor in male was 37 042, male reported cases in the first five for bronchial and pulmonary malignant tumor, the liver and intrahepatic bile duct malignant tumor, stomach malignant tumor, rectal malignant tumor, colon malignant tumor. Malignant tumor in women to report cases were 26 006 cases, women reported cases in the first five for the breast malignant tumor, bronchus and pulmonary malignant tumor, cervical malignant tumor, stomach tumor, colon malignant tumor.Conclusion From 2015 to 2018, the number of malignant tumors reported in Chenzhou City has been increasing year by year. The incidence of malignant tumors is mainly middle-aged and elderly. The incidence of malignant tumors in males is significantly higher than that in females. The distribution of major malignant tumors in males and females is different. The effective prevention and control measures should be formulated according to the distribution characteristics of malignant tumors in this region.
