Research progress on the application of blood recovery machine in spinal surgery

Abstract:Massive blood loss has always been found in spinal surgery,especially in anterior decompression,multisegmental correction and posterior internal fixation.The amount of bleeding has become an important factor restricting the development of surgical techniques with complicated procedures of massive intraoperative hemorrhage.Perioperative safety of patients will be periled by the excessive intraoperative blood loss.Meanwhile,allogeneic blood transfusion also has the risk of infection,blood-transfusion complications,difficulty in blood collection,high price and so on.And allogeneic blood affects coagulation,immunity,hemodynamics,prognosis and functional recovery of patients.Recently,blood recovery technology is mainly represented by blood recovery machine,which is widely used in orthopedic spine surgery.Averting the disadvantages of allogeneic blood transfusion,the development of autologous blood recovery and transfusion technology and the use of blood recovery machine in operation can alleviate the pressure of current blood shortage,make efficient use of intraoperative clean blood,decrease blood transfusion costs,ensure the safety of blood transfusion of patients,and promote the recovery with definitely economic benefits and clinical value.
