Clinical effect of Iron Sucrose combined with Recombinant Human Erythropoietin in the treatment of hip fracture combined with anemia in the middle-aged and elderly patients

Abstract：Objective To explore the clinical effect of Iron Sucrose combined with Recombinant Human Erythropoietin in the treatment of hip fracture combined with anemia in the middle-aged and elderly patients. Methods A total of 40 middle-aged and elderly patients with hip fracture combined with anemia in Jiujiang First People′s Hospital from October 2018 to November 2019 were selected as the research subjects. They were divided into observation group (n=20)and control group (n=20) by random method of drawing lots. In the control group，patients were treated with Iron Sucrose，and in the observation group，they were treated with Iron Sucrose combined with Recombinant Human Erythropoietin. The blood transfusion rate，total effective rate，ferritin (SF) level，hemoglobin (Hb) level and total incidence of complications were compared between the two groups. Results The blood transfusion rate (0.00%) and the total incidence of complications (35.00%) in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (30.00%，5.00%)，with statistically significant differences (P＜0.05). After treatment，the SF level of patients in the observation group (［81.67±4.39］ μg/L) was lower than that of the control group (［134.55±11.42］ μg/L)，and the Hb level (［126.95±15.78］ g/L) was higher than that of the control group (［112.15±13.87］ g/L)，the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05). The total effective rate of the observation group was 95.00%，which was higher than that of the control group (75.00%)，and the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05). Conclusion Sucrose Iron combined with Recombinant Human Erythropoietin has a significant therapeutic effect in the treatment of middle-aged and elderly patients with hip fracture combined with anemia，it is worthy of clinical application.
