Abstract:Objective To understand the cognition of community medical personnel and residents in Changchun on hospice care for elderly patients,and explore its development dilemma,so as to provide a strong basis for the clinical work of community hospitals to carry out hospice care projects.Methods A total of 207 people (53medical staff and 154residents)were surveyed from 4community hospitals and 2communities in Changchun from October 2018 to April 2019 by convenient sampling method.Results The qualified rate ofmedical personnel with doctor′s degree was not significantly different from that ofmaster′s degree (P>0.05).The qualified rate ofmedical personnelwithmaster′s degree and doctor′s degree was higher than that of technical secondary school,junior college and undergraduate,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The qualified rate of undergraduate medical personnel was higher than that of technical secondary school and junior college,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The qualified rate of collegemedical personnel was higher than that of technical secondary school,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the qualified rate of the cognition of hospice care among themedical staff of different positions (P>0.05).The cognition total score of the 150 community residents on hospice care was(71.43±13.94)points.Conclusion In Changchun,the level of cognition about hospice care ofmedical staff is not uniform,the overall level is low,the community residents do not know enough about hospice care services,and there is no positive understanding.The relevant organizations should focus on strengthening the education of the two,and improve their cognitive ability of hospice care.
