Abstract:Objective To observe and analyze the clinical effect of closed thoracic drainage with abdominal drainage catheter in the treatment of pleural effusion. Methods Altogether 146 patients with pleural effusion who were treated in our hospital from May 13,2016 to May 12,2017 were selected and randomly divided into the observation group and the control group,73 patients in each group. The observation group was given abdominal drainage catheter, and the control group was given central venous catheter. The fever abatement time, hospitalization time, disappearance time of pleural effusion, drainage time, the total incidence rate of complication and the total effective rate were compared between the two groups. Results The duration of fever abatement, hospitalization, pleural fluid disappearance and drainage of the observation group were shorter than those of the control group, with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The total incidence rate of complications of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion Closed thoracic drainage with abdominal drainage catheter in the diagnosis and treatment of pleural effusion can effectively reduce the incidence of complications in patients, which is of high clinical value.
