Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical characteristics of electrocardiogram(ECG)in late pregnancy of elderly pregnant women with gestational diabetes mellitus, and to provide guidance for clinical practice. Methods A total of 120 pregnant women with gestational diabetes mellitus(with gestational age of 28-41 weeks)admitted to our hospital from July 2016 to July 2018 were randomly selected as the observation group. The pregnant women in the observation group were divided into the elderly group(>35 years old,60 cases)and the appropriate age group(≤35 years old,60 cases)according to different ages, and another 60 cases of normal pregnant women who came to our hospital for the product inspection during the same period were selected as the control group. The total incidence rate of ECG abnormalities(arrhythmia,ST-segment change, low voltage,left-axis,short P-R interval),fasting blood glucose level and glycosylated hemoglobin level were compared in the observation group and the control group, the elderly group and the appropriate age group. The relationship between the age of pregnant women with gestational diabetes mellitus and the incidence rate of ECG abnormalities, fasting blood glucose level and glycosylated hemoglobin level was analyzed. Results The total incidence rate of ECG abnormalities in the observation group(36.67%)was significantly higher than that in the control group (10.00%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The levels of fasting blood glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Among the pregnant women in the observation group, the total incidence rate of ECG abnormalities in the elderly group (50.00%)was higher than that in the appropriate age group (23.33%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The levels of fasting blood glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin in the elderly group were significantly higher than those in the appropriate age group, and the differences were statisti-cally significant(P<0.05).Correlation analysis showed that the age of pregnant women with gestational diabetes mellitus was moderate positively correlated with the incidence of ECG abnormalities, blood glucose level and glycosylated hemoglobin level(P<0.05).Conclusion Pregnant women with gestational diabetes mellitus have a higher incidence rate of ECG abnormalities in the late pregnancy, especially in elderly women. In order to ensure maternal and child safety,ECG should be carried out regularly for pregnant women.
