Abstract:ObjectiveTo observe the level of serum activated protein C(APC)in patients with severe pneumonia and evaluate its value in evaluating the prognosis of patients with severe pneumonia.MethodsA total of 54 patients with severe pneumonia were selected from October 2013 to July 2016,the prognosis was divided into survival group(n=30)and death group(n=24).30 patients with non-severe pneumonia were selected randomly in the same period,as a non-severe pneumonia group.A healthy group of 30 healthy people were selected in our hospital during the same period.Using enzyme-linked immunosorbent method to detect each group APC level in the serum.ResultsThe APC level of the pneumonia group was(330.81±72.80)ng/ml,which was lower than that the healthy group[(436.57±62.69)ng/ml],and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The APC level of the severe pneumonia group was(296.60±58.26)ng/ml,which was lower than that the non-severe pneumonia group [(392.38±552)ng/ml],and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The APC level of the death group was(263.89±53.53)ng/ml,which was lower than that the survival group [(322.75±48.34)ng/ml],and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).ConclusionLevel of APC in serum is associated with pneumonia,and the level of APC reflects the severity of the disease and is related to the prognosis of severe pneumonia.The lower the APC level,the worse the prognosis of the patients.
