Clustering analysis on incidences of three common gynecological cancers of 31 provincial-level administrative regions of China

Abstract:ObjectiveTo study the characteristics of distribution and regional differences of the incidences of three common gynecological cancers since 2015 so as to provide references for preventing these three gynecological cancers.MethodsThe report of incidences of breast cancer,cervical cancer and ovarian cancer were collected of 31 provinciallevel administrative regions of China since 2015,and then statistical description,correlation analysis and clustering analysis were made on the incidences.The method of cluster analysis adopted Ward method,and the distance between classes was square Euclidean method.ResultsThe Spearman correlation analysis reported incidences of breast cancer,cervical cancer and ovarian cancer had pairwise correlation (P<0.05).The result of clustering analysis hinted that provinces of Liaoning,Anhui,Henan,Sichuan,Chongqing,Gansu,Heilongjiang,Jiangxi,Yunnan,Xinjiang and Fujian,which were at the forefront of incidences of breast cancer,cervical cancer and ovarian cancer,were first clustered into one group.While Xinjiang and Fujian,which had high incidence of breast and cervical cancer,were easily divided into one category.ConclusionPrevention and treatment of these three common gynecological cancers is still severe,with obvious characteristics in high-prevalence area,so focus should be on strengthening the prevention and treatment work of these three cancers in such regions.Active treatment intervention was adopted for patients diagnosed with three kinds of cancer to improve the quality of life and improve their survival rate.
