Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical effect of early respirator instead of hyperbaric oxygen therapy in patients with acute severe carbon monoxide poisoning. Methods 50 patients with acute severe carbon monoxide poisoning who were treated in our hospital from September 2014 to December 2016 were selected as study object and divided into control group and observation group according to the method of odd and even random grouping,25 cases in each group. Patients in the control group were treated with conventional therapy, patients in the observation group were given the replacement therapy of hyperbaric oxygen by early ventilator. The death probability, consciousness recovery time, hospital stay, the incidence of delayed encephalopathy and sequelae between two groups were compared. Results There was no significant difference in death probability between two groups(P>0.05).The consciousnes recovery time and hospitalization time in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group, and the incidence of delayed encephalopathy and the incidence of sequelae was significantly lower than that of the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion On patients with acute severe carbon monoxide poisoning, the effect of early respirator instead of hyperbaric oxygen therapy is significant, which is worth popularizing in clinic.
