Abstract:Objective To compare the effect of continuous comprehensive nursing and routine nursing in elderly patients with hip fracture. Methods Altogether 58 cases of elderly patients with hip fracture treated in our hospital from March 2015 to June 2016 were randomly divided into observation group and control group. The patients in control group (n= 29)were given with routine nursing nursing, while observation group (n=29)was given with comprehensive nursing. The Harris hip score,Barthel index, geriatric depression scale (GDS)score and other indicators after discharge,1 month after discharge and 3 months after discharge between two groups were evaluated and compared. Results The Harris hip score of observation group 1 month and 3 months after discharge [(61.1±8.3)and (78.4±9.8)points]was significantly higher than those of control group [(53.2±7.5)and (64.4±8.6)points](P<0.05).Barthel index of observation group 1 month and 3 months after discharge[(57.2±8.5)and(81.2±8.2)points]was higher than those of control group[(40.8± 10.2)and(70.3±8.7)points](P<0.05).GDS score of observation group[(8.5±3.2)points]3 months after discharge was significantly lower than that of control group[(11.9±3.5)points](P<0.05).Conclusion The effect of continuous comprehensive nursing in improving the recovery of hip function in elderly patients is better than that of routine nursing, which is helpful to improve the quality of daily life.
