Abstract:ObjectiveTo investigate the clinical application effect of Tegafur combined with Oxaliplatin in the treatment of elderly advanced gastric carcinoma.Methods60 elderly patients with advanced gastric carcinoma who were admitted to our hospital from January 2013 to February 2017 were selected as the subjects of this study.According to the odd and even number methods(order of admission),the enrolled elderly patients with advanced gastric cancer(n=60)were randomly assigned to the study group(n=30)and the control group(n=30).In the study group, the elderly patients with advanced gastric cancer were treated with Tegafur combined with Oxaliplatin, and the control group was treated with Capecitabine combined with Oxaliplatin. The short-term efficacy and incidence of adverse events were recorded in the two groups of elderly patients with advanced gastric cancer.ResultsThe total effective rate(56.67%)in the study group was higher than that in the control group(40.00%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);the incidence rate of diarrhea and hand foot syndrome(HFS)in the study group was significantly lower than that in the control group during chemotherapy, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There were no statistically significant differences in nausea, vomiting, myelosuppression and other adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).ConclusionThe combination of Oxaliplatin and Tegafur in the treatment of elderly advanced gastric cancer can improve the curative effect of these patients, and at the same time can reduce the incidence rate of adverse reactions during chemotherapy, which is conducive to ensuring the quality of life and life safety.
