Abstract:ObjectiveTo explore the etiology of hospital infection in patients with atrial fibrillation combined with stroke and analyze the risk factors so as to effectively reduce the incidence of hospital infection in patients with atrial fibrillation combined with stroke.MethodsA total of 236 patients with atrial fibrillation combined with stroke who were treated in hospital from May 2010 to April 2016 were enrolled in the study. The univariate analysis and multivariate logistic regression analysis were performed for influential factors for patients with atrial fibrillation combined with stroke.ResultsOf the 236 patients,75 were complicated with hospital infections, and the hospital infection rate was 31.8%.Of the 75 patients, there were 42(56%)strains of gram-negative bacteria,29(38.7%)strains of gram-positive bacteria and 4(5.3%)strains of fungi. The results of the univariate analysis indicated that the incidence of hospital infection in the patients was associated with the age, antibacterial drug kinds, hospital stay time and complication of DM and disturbence of consciousness(P<0.05).The logistic regression analysis showed that the independent risk factors for the hospital infection in the patiens with atrail fbrilliation combined with stroke included the age, antibacterial drug kinds, hospital stay time and complication of DM(P<0.05).ConclusionThe independent risk factors for the hospital infection in the patients with atrial fibrillation combined with stroke include the age, antibacterial drug kinds, hospital stay time and complication of DM,to which the clinicians should attach great importance.
