A clinic study of treatment on diarrhea-predom inant irritable bowel syndrome by using integrated Traditional Chinese Medicine and W estern Medicine Therapy

Abstract:ObjectiveTo explore the clinic effect of treatment on diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome(IBS) by using integrated Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine Therapy.Methods60 cases of IBS-D patients with syndrome of splenic asthenia and accumulation of dampness from Janury 2014 to December 2015 were selected, which were randomly divided into treatment group and control group,30 cases in each groups.Patients of treatment group were given Shenling Baishu Power and Institute for treatment.patients of control group were given Bifido for treatment,after 28 days,the clinical curative effectwere observated.ResultsThe symptoms scores of both the two groups after treatmentwere obviously lower than the before,the differenceswere significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the symptoms score of the treatment group was significantly lower than that of the control group,the difference was significant(P<0.05).The TCM symptoms curative effectof treatmentgroup was better than that of control group,after treatment,the difference was significant(P<0.05).The total efficiency of the treatment group was 86.67%,which was higher than that of control group with 73.33%,the difference was significant(P<0.05).No obvious adverse reaction occurred in the research.ConclusionThe therapy of combination shenling baizhu powderwith bifid triple viable capsules can obviously improve global symptoms of IBS-D,which iswith no side effect.
