Abstract:Objective To analyze the clinical effect of Rifapentine in the treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis (TB).Methods From January to December in 2013,80 TB patients admitted into our hospital were selected and evenly divided into observation group and control group in random. In the control group, drug therapy of Rifampin,Levofloxacin and Pyrazinamide was used, while in the observation group,on the basis of the control group,Rifapentine was added. The therapeutic effect in the two groups was compared. Results The sputum negative conversion rate in the observation group was 87.50%,which was significantly higher than that in the control group accounting for 67.50% with a statistical difference (P<0.05).The improvement rate of X-ray examination result in the lungs in the observation group was 92.50%,which was much higher than that in the control group accounting for 75.00% with a statistical difference (P<0.05).The main adverse reactions during medication in the two groups were abdominal pain, vomiting, liver dysfunction, and abnormal routine urine test, but there was no statistical difference after comparison in the two groups (P>0.05).After 6-month follow-up visits, the recurrence rate of sputum bacteria in the observation group was 10.00%,which was much less than that in the control group of 30.00% with a statistical difference (P<0.05).Conclusion Rifapentine as a second-line TB drug obtains a good effect and is safe in medication, which is worthy of extensive application.
