The im pact effect of critical thinking ability by clinical nursing professional com petence training for clinical nurses

Abstract：Objective To evaluate the effect of critical thinking ability by clinical nursing professional competence training for clinical nurses.Methods 96 cases of nurse on staff in our hospital from May 2014 to May 2015 were selected，including 48 casesofnurseswere undergoing clinicalnursing professional competence training as the experimentalgroup；the other 48 cases nurseswere not received formal clinical nursing expertise training，for the control group.After the end of the training，the performance assessment results were observed，and using critical thinking ability scale were used to analyze the critical thinking ability evaluation of the two group of the nurses；and the rate of the common adverse events were observed.Results The theory examination scoresofexperimentalgroup nurseswas（95.44±3.87）points and practical skill scores was（96.13±3.33）points，which significantly higher than ［（85.19±3.91），（84.71±3.41）points］in the control group（P＜0.01）；the nurses seeking truth，open thinking，analytical ability，system the ability of thinking，self-confidence，inquisitiveness and cognitive maturity of critical thinking ability scores of experimental group were significantly higher than those in control group（all P＜0.01）；the total critical thinking ability score of experimental group was higher than that of the control group［（349.7±90.3）vs（305.8±90.2）points］（P＜0.05）.The incidence of adverse events in the experimental group was 4.17%（2/48），lower than 16.67%（8/48）in the control group，the difference was statistically significant （χ2=4.0186，P=0.0450）.Conclusion Clinical nursing competency training can improve the quality of care nurses，and can effectively improve the clinical nurse critical thinking ability of nurses and is useful to guide clinical care，reduce the incidence of adverse reactions.
