Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical effect of Qi-Boosting and Kidney-Tonifying decoction in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)on treating chronic glomerulonephritis in the pattern of spleen and kidney Qi deficiency.Methods 560 patients with chronic glomerulonephritis in the pattern of Spleen and Kidney Qi Deficiency admitted into our hospital from May 2011 to May 2015 were selected.According to the sequence of admission to hospital,they were randomly divided into control group (n=279)and observation group (n=281).In the control group,conventional western medicine was used,while in the observation group,on the basis of the western medicine treatment,Qi-Boosting and Kidney-Tonifying decoction was added.The therapeutic effect of chronic glomerulonephritis and symptom score of TCM were compared.Results In the observation group,the total effective rate of chronic glomerulonephritis was 75.1%,significantly higher than 63.4%in the control group with a statistical difference (P<0.05).In the observation group,scores of symptoms including sourness and pain of waist,lassitude,edema and no appetite,frequent urination,and increased nocturnal enuresis were greatly lower than those in the control group with a statistical difference (P<0.05).Conclusion Qi-Boosting and Kidney-Tonifying decoction has a good therapeutic effect on treating chronic glomerulonephritis in the pattern of Spleen and Kidney Qi Deficiency,and can effectively improve the relevant symptoms of Spleen and Kidney Qi Deficiency.It is safe and effective,and is worthy of promotion in clinical application.
